Yesterday was another event year that took my breath away!!! Words will never be able to express my gratitude to each of you!!! Check out more photos from our day on Facebook!!! Thank you to all of our early morning volunteers for making a busy morning successful. I just want to hug all of you again today!!! I must say a big shout out to my sweet hubby who is always behind the scenes helping, supporting and dealing with me!! I am blessed with the most amazing friends and family!!! I am thankful to live in this community with all of you who are always willing to jump in and help!!! Because of you, we will be giving The Tri-County Children's Advocacy Center over $5,000 this year!!!! Thank you so so so much!!! See you next year!!!
Above was my post the afternoon after last year's 5K. God provides financially each year through so many amazing people to give to a special cause. I am blown away by the number of volunteers that show up basically at sunrise for me to boss around!!! They smile and eagerly help with every task on my to-do list and I am forever grateful!! The number of wonderful door prizes that are given by local business owners and friends is incredible and such a fun way to end the morning with prizes!!!
I am excited to give an update and announce that my sweet friend and co-worker, April Anthony, is now the Tri-County Children's Advocacy Center's forensic nurse practitioner. These children no longer have to be examined in Birmingham at Children's Hospital thanks to Ms. April serving in this role. She performs these exams and follow-up appointments in Roanoke now.
I am anticipating another wonderful year with all your help!!
This past year, two young boys in Wadley have been fighting cancer!!!
Wadley community has pulled together several times for benefits for these boys!!!
I want to join in the fight especially right before the holidays as their families still have medical bills and other expenses from their diagnosis.
We will be talking that morning about Craniosynostosis Awareness while all proceeds will go to the families of JaMichael Angel & Trent Johnson!
SO once again.....let's do this together with The Lord's help!!!
