Year SIX = SERVICE & SCHOLARSHIPS

Samantha's Facebook Post from Oct. 28, 2018: "The 5th Annual Care About CRANIO 5K was another indescribable year. Thank you all for your shirt orders, donations, door prizes, volunteer time, love and encouragement! I wish I could hug each of you today and adequately express my gratitude! Please continue to pray for JaMichael, Trent & their families! If The Lord is Willing...we will see you next October! I’m humbly again thank you ALL with all my heart! I’m full of much joy today because of precious family and friends like YOU!!!"

1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

I LOVE the above Scripture and don't see it as ironic that it was the exact Word that The Lord placed on my heart at the end of last years' event. He was already preparing my heart for what was to come in 2019!!! Since the summer of 2018, I have been back in graduate school. School stress is the real deal!! School is also expensive so financial strain increases stress. I was blessed with several scholarships this past year that helped lessen some of the pressure of tuition and books costs.

Emmy will begin Kindergarten at Wadley this year. So, I will be celebrating finishing school forever this December 2019, while Emmy is just beginning her academic journey.

The Lord has always given me a "cause" to support each year for the Care About Cranio 5K! He has exceeded our expectations each year with generous givers like YOU!
Beginning this year, the Care About Cranio 5K will give a "Service Support & Sustainability Scholarship" to a Wadley Senior each year in honor of Emmy.

This month, I will be contacting the administration at WHS to allow the senior class time to apply for this scholarship. Requirements will include: buying the 5K t-shirt, volunteering at the event, and writing an essay of why service projects are important in a smalltown and what supportive service means to them (essay must be a minimum of 500 words but no greater than 1000 words). The seniors that apply will be recognized the day of the event. The scholarship recipient will be announced by Christmas 2019 and accept the award at WHS Awards Day in the Spring of 2020.

I am excited to give back to a young person in our community each year to give them HOPE for their future and inspiration to SERVE especially in their own smalltown!!!

Please join us on October 19, 2019 for another fun and special event!!!
Here are some snapshots from last year.......
PRAISE GOD THAT JAMICHAEL IS IN REMISSION AND HAS BEEN CALLED TO SERVE THE LORD IN THE CAPACITY OF A YOUTH MINISTER TO SHARE HIS STORY FOR GOD'S GLORY!!!!

IN YEAR SIX WE ARE SHOWING SUPPORT, SERVICE, & SUSTAINMENT THROUGH SCHOLARSHIP!!!!!!!

Sustain me, God, as you have promised,
    and I will live.
Do not let me be ashamed of my hope. Psalm 119:116
